Founded almost 120 years ago and still family owned, Poeton Industries Ltd. are one of the UK’s leading surface treatment specialists. Working across a wide range of industries, including Aerospace & Defence, Oil & Gas, Automotive and Medical, Poeton’s contact book boasts the largest names in engineering.​

The company’s visual identity and communications materials had not been updated in some time but, with the likes of Airbus, Boeing and Rolls Royce entrusting them as a key partner in some of the most prestigious engineering projects past, present and future, a powerful new brand identity was required to communicate Poeton’s pedigree, expertise and industry-leading capabilities.​

Poeton selected Mainsail as the branding agency to help define and solve the issues facing their brand.

CHALLENGES

Despite the Poeton name enjoying solid awareness within the engineering industries, comprehension of their size, capabilities and key role within prestigious engineering projects did not enjoy the same level of recognition. Bringing the brand up to date with the multi-national giants they work alongside would be the first step in growing Poeton's presence as true industry leaders.
SOLUTIONS

The development process highlighted key themes the new brand would need to convey: that Poeton operates as a true partner to their customers, solving problems as a complete service provider; that their proprietary products have and will continue to push the surface treatment industry forwards; and that their growth, with operations across Europe and customers serviced across the globe, continues.
Along with the modernised new brand design and visual identity, which also works to honour the company's heritage, the strapline says it all:
